There's darkness everywhere when you have depression…
Depression leaves you like you're The Walking Dead: Dragging your feet or needing to "rot in bed" because you don’t have the energy to move. Hobbies that were once enjoyable are now something you dread. You hide behind that classic happy face even though you're experiencing deep sadness so as not to be a burden to others. You are not alone. Like many of us, you’re probably someone who has made valiant efforts to change your life, but because of that little voice inside your head, it can be hard to do so.
You're just so tired. All.The.Time.
You want to be able to do things you once loved again: Whether that's running, creating art, performing, or hanging out with friends. You want to feel positive about yourself and life, and not be dragging your feet while doing so. You want to find meaning and figure out what drives you.
There is hope.
Depression is caused by various things, such as genetics, medical conditions, past traumas, work, amongst other things. It’s very common to experience it nowadays because of how hard life is. It can be seen as hopeless to overcome since a lot of things are stacked against you. But it doesn’t have to be when you have the skillset:
Getting up and moving to get things done that you’ve been putting off
Learning what keeps you going
Finding your true calling
Boosting your confidence
